Irelyn hunted a full season with Rappahannock Hunt in all three fields. She has also been out with Belle Meade Hunt in Georgia, Rose Tree-Blue Mtn in SC, Whiskey Road Hounds, Blue Ridge Hunt, and Old Dominion Hounds.
With her extensive VA hunting experience and trip to Aiken, SC this season, she is one of the handiest horses in the field. She will work gates while mounted, will pony other horses, stands to mount/dismount quietly and has led 2nd field with RH. **Hunt references available**
Irelyn is a great mover with a big, flowing and smooth stride. To the fences she is brave and snappy with her knees. She will take off from anywhere and is very adjustable. Irelyn goes well in the arena and has schooled cross country.
This mare would make a lovely 1st/2nd field hunter or a great staff horse prospect. Irelyn is more forward thinking but does not get strong. With her more forward nature, she is not suitable for a beginner or timid rider.
Irelyn has a very in-your-pocket personality and is happy to spend all day in the barn.
