Daisy has foxhunted with the Genesee Valley Hunt in western NY. Miss Daisy is solid and handy in any of the variable conditions we experience here in the Genesee Valley.

Since coming to us as a green eventer/fox hunter from Maryland 5 years ago, she has been a steady and familiar presence in the Genesee Valley Hunt for 5 seasons, riding 1st, 2nd or 3rd flight. She will happily jump any log or coop she is pointed at. While running up front with the Thoroughbreds is fun, she is also comfortable leading 2nd or 3rd fields. One of her best roles is as a “buddy lead” for new horses joining the hunt, proving a steady lead and example across varied terrain, ditches, and mud.
Daisy has seen limited eventing and hunter derbies at intro and beginner-novice levels and is enthusiastic and positive. We think she has good potential in this area, but have focused primarily on fox hunting, hunter paces, and trail riding.
