Spirit is that rare combination of a very handsome, athletic TB with a quiet mind and a gentle, willing spirit (pun intended!). He is out of Darley Stables in the UK with Northern Dancer and Spectacular Bid in his bloodlines. He retired uninjured after 11 starts with a 1st and 2nd at Saratoga.
I have transitioned out of foxhunting to polo, and sadly am seeking a new great home for this sweet boy.
I started Spirit in third flight last year as my backup field hunter – he did great – no issues at the back of the field. He has been under light work this past year.
Spirit has the potential to excel in foxhunting, eventing, or hunter/jumpers.
