Andes has hunted 3 seasons with the Old Chatham Hunt Club going in all fields and has led 1st/2nd flights.  He is a very laid-back gelding, can take a joke, has been used to calm other horses, ponied staff horses to and from the meet and occasionally whip in when needed. We use him to clear trails- pull down dead trees, branches and obstacles, he ponies new horses and is a barn favorite. Rides out solo beautifully. He’s a nicely put together and athletic Friesian cross and could easily do eventing with his flashy looks and how easy he is to jump. He’s schooled cross country, stadium and done hunter paces. 

Andes travels well and loads in a stock trailer step up or 2 horse bumper pull. Great ground manners, stands quietly tied to the trailer, good for the farrier, clipping, vacuuming, grooming.

This February we took him south where he hunted in the field with Belle Meade, Whiskey Road and Genesee Valley. He’s also hunted with Golden’s Bridge.

He gets off the trailer game for anything- Fox Hunting, Trail Riding, Arena Derby, Dressage Clinic, Hunter Pace or go school some Cross Country. 

Very straight forward horse to ride. Videos are from March 20, 2026. Have not done ring work with him since the outdoor was frozen since November. This is how he comes out without prep on a windy day.
