2020 16.2hh Thoroughbred mare
“Indy” is a 6 year old unraced tb mare. She has hunted with Old Chatham, Cheshire, & other joint meets. She is a true 1st flight made horse. She has hunted for 3 seasons, starting out with a brief 1st season winter hunting, slowly and correctly. Then with 2 full seasons of 1st flight. She never peeks at hounds anywhere. Jumping out of woods, weeds or in between her legs. She will go over or through anything. She will lead over jumps, follow nicely and even leave the group. We’ve caught many loose horses! She has schooled through one meter at local shows, coops and xc through 3’11”. She never peeks at jumps, water or ditches. She stands nicely at checks. She is extremely trustworthy, brave and solid hunting. There is nothing this horse hasn’t done out hunting. She hacks out on the buckle until the going gets good :). I’ve cracked whips off of her and dragged them with no fuss. She’s a sensitive personality type on the ground but not mareish and never naughty. Cross ties, single ties, bathes, etc. She lives in a group herd, self loads, & is an easy keeper. Barefoot in winter.
Indy could go 2nd flight or be made into a staff horse.
